Who
A British-born musician, producer and emerging impresario, Christian came to Australia during the post-punk universe of the early 1980’s – and the profundity of this cultural epoch has guided him ever since.,
His colourful life-diary includes entries about coast-to-coast American road trips; performances in nightclubs before he was old enough to enter them legally; a London one-night stand with an NME-hyped indie-band; drumming on a number one album and producing projects for Brisbane & Ipswich City Council. (Of course we won’t mention the job in a software factory; manning the paint-tinting machine at K-Mart or pulling pints in a pub on a council estate in the UK – all pretty typical jobs for a young aspiring musician…)
He has even worked in a LIBRARY!
However, it was while employed at iconic live music venue THE ZOO, that fellow ‘Zooie’ James Lees, the then-owner of Posterbill, first contracted Christian for distribution work way back in 1999.
Since then, Christian has become an enduring fixture within the inner-city Brisbane and Ipswich poster outlet community, forming solid, trustworthy relationships with many host businesses, their owners and staff.
Heavily involved with the arts community in Ipswich, his volunteer-run Solidarity Külture Ćlub has staged over 180 DIY shows, the majority of which have been at heritage-listed internationally-renowned underground music venue Goleby’s Basement. Occasionally he multi-tasks at some of these shows, bashing the pig-skins for dark Americana amp-worshippers Johnny Cyrus & His Band Of Ghosts.
As a sound tech and DJ and event MC, he can also be found rocking weddings, functions and parties across South East Queensland under his Yow! Productions guise and/or alter-ego MSG
With the benefit of his extensive experience, Christian has established Pinpoint to offer an improved distribution service that minimizes waste and maximizes exposure for every client’s campaign.
